Russian translation (Tiflis, 1925) of British general Lionel Charles Dunsterville's memoir of his 1917-1918 operations in Baku and Persia.

This record is the Russian translation, issued by the Soviet Caucasus press in Tiflis in 1925, of the memoir of General Lionel Charles Dunsterville, commander of the British "Dunsterforce" mission. It recounts the British advance through Persia to Baku in 1917-1918, the defence of the city and the regional political-military situation from the commander's own viewpoint. It is a first-hand counterpart source for the Caucasian Islamic Army's Baku operation and the events leading to the city's capture on 15 September 1918.
