The Adventures of Dunsterforce

General L. C. Dunsterville's 1920 memoir of the British 'Dunsterforce' mission dispatched to Baku in 1918.

This is the first-hand memoir of General L. C. Dunsterville, commander of the British military mission that advanced through Persia to Baku (Edward Arnold, London, 1920). He describes the formation of his force, the crossing of the Caspian to Baku, and its part in the defence of the city. As an account from the opposing side, it is a key source for the Army of Islam's siege of Baku and the city's capture on 15 September 1918.
