A Russian-language article examining, on the basis of archival documents, the activity of the Bolshevik figure Magomed Dalgat during the Civil War in Dagestan (1918-1921).

Asiyat Sh. Ibragimova's 2009 article studies the political and organizational activity of Magomed Dalgat, a member of the Dagestan Regional Military-Revolutionary Committee, in 1918-1921, drawing on archival material much of which is newly introduced into scholarship. It describes the April 1918 overthrow of Dagestan's Provisional Government, the creation of the Military-Revolutionary Committee headed by D. Korkmasov, its proclamation on land and equality, and the September 1919 revival of the Dagestani underground party committee in Baku. Its link to the collection is indirect: it illuminates the Bolshevik side of Caucasian politics in 1918 and Baku's regional centrality, but does not address the Caucasus Islamic Army's operations.
